Couponing

Something I've gotten into this year is couponing. Not just clip a coupon here and there, but major couponing. I've got not 1 but 2 binders that store all the coupons I clip, print, and find (when I have time to cut). The best thing about couponing is finding all the stuff you can get for free or next to free. I never knew that I didn't have to pay $3.99 for a box of crackers, or $6.99+ for toilet paper.

As an example, my publix trip yesterday was a great example, my mom and I split stuff so the total together was $230 total groceries - sales & coupons = $28 paid. Some of the things we bought were: 4 Buttinelli refrigerated pasta, 10 birds eye frozen veggies, cool whip, 10 rolls scotch tape, 10 hotwheels cars, 11 pkgs chinet napkins, 4 boxes chicken, 5 boxes nabisco crackers, bag of ice (forgot our ice pks.), Mt. olive pickles, 5 boxes phazyme, 4 boxes Contac cold meds, +more.

We have saved so much this year, gotten so much more, and have shared more food than we could have ever considered before couponing. I hope to have my year end totals up soon to share. If you have any questions on how to do this, just ask. Think that you can't do it at the stores you have , think again. I shop CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Walmart, Bi-Lo, Publix, Ingles, and Kroger. So, don't think that you can't shop like this too, it's not a scheme, it's real!! The picture above is a trip we did to Blooms when they tripled this past fall in S.C. it was about $400 worth of groceries for around $40.
