Well , it looks like another dull week for Bi-Lo. I hope this is not the new trend. One good thing is I'm getting to use some of my rainchecks I've stuffed back and not having to spend alot of OOP.
I cannot say enough about how important those rainchecks are. Did you know:
1) you can get a raincheck if one style of the product is out (check endcaps first)
2) you can get 1 per day
3)save them for a better sale.

Yeah, I have not been happy with our local stores lately, which is why I am venturing out to Gainesville tomorrow to go to Publix, Target and Kroger. I'm not thrilled with the Kroger ad this week so I might skip it this time, but the Publix list is awesome! The Target list is not huge, but has some good stuff on it and I do love Target in general. It has taken me all week to organize my lists, coupons, etc, so I hope it's worth it. I'm sure I'll have a good time, but if I don't bring home a trunkful of free or almost free stuff my hubby will have a fit! Gas is so expensive! Also, he is hoping to accumulate enough freebies to sell at the flea market this spring. I'm really encouraged by all the stuff I'm reading on the sites, especially the RefundCents one! There are some real "coupon queens" out there for inspiration!

I love the way they do the coupons there! She took them up front and then rang the coupon immediately after the item so that my total kept going up and down, up and down! It was really cool. I was doing really well until the end when she rang up the 2 bottles of wine (on sale for $4.99 each, with a $5 rebate for 2 bottles) and the 2 pkgs of Goodnites (on sale for $8.99 - $1.50 coupon)! But still a great trip.

ReplyDeletePublix is great and them doing coupons like that is a good way for any store to train their employees to do it. Their store is always clean and they have great clearance most of the time.
Kroger was having a bum week but next week is a mega sale with buy 8 get $4 off, instead of the usual 10 get $5 off.
