Gotta Love B1G1 Sales matched with B1G1 coupons!
Last week at RiteAid was a great week. Anytime you have a B1G1 coupon and they have it on sale B1G1 it means FREE merchandise for you. RiteAid has really jumped onto the coupon bandwagon the last 6 months or so and I'm loving it.
Covergirl makeup was B1G1 - B1G1 cpns. P&G has not been putting $ limits on their cpns for about 3 months which is crazy in my opinion but I'll accept it :)
At RiteAid B1G1F sales run like this : 1 will show up as $retail price and 1 will show up as $0, and you still allowed to use (2) manufacturer cpns. If you add up the total ones at $retail and get over $15 or $25 you can use a $3/$15 cpn or a $5/$25 riteaid cpns. too. --which means more free merchandise. That is how I scored free milk , always, etc.
No, I did not buy all this in one day, nor one transaction. My mom and I checked out a total of 9 times over several spread out days. I wanted to give others a chance at that makeup and knew they would restock. My surprise - the shelves were never bare. Did couponers not know this sale was going on?? Did they not know they could get free milk?? Okay, Okay, yes I have a LOT of coupons, and no I will not ever use that much makeup. But my sister, sister n laws, nieces, etc. will be getting makeup as gifts this year (you didn't just read that!) All right enough rattling, here are my totals (and if you want to learn how to put this together next time - always ask!!)
(Purchases are my mom's & mine together)
(17) John Frieda Products (some of these sat on the clearance table for 2 days before I finally gave in & bought them for the rebates)
(2) O.B. (clearance table - cpn = $0.24 ea)
(2) Neutra-Air (clearance $1.64 - $1.50 cpns = $0.14 ea)
(4) Gallons milk (free with those $3/$15 & $5/25 cpns!!)
(2) Always (counted toward another rebate I haven't bought enough of but hopefully will) (used $3/15 to help with these)
(8) Trident layers gum (B1G1 $1.49 - $0.75/1 = FREE (not pictured)
(30) Covergirl makeup (all free)
(1) Cocoa Krispies (free after $3/$15 or $5/$25) (not pictured)
(1) BC powders 50ct (free after $3/$15 or $5/$25) (not pictured)
Totals : $450 retail
OOP: $31.67
Rebates: $27
Total spent: $4.67
Percent saved: 99%

I got a bunch of makeup as well, although not as much as you guys! One of the girls actually asked me if I would use that much makeup and I told her the same thing... my sister's favorite gift each Christmas is all the makeup I got for free throughout the year! Someone at Rite Aid tried to tell me they couldn't give me both items free on a BOGO sale with a BOGO coupon. I just pulled out my copy of their coupon policy!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised one of the cashiers said that. I have always had the best cashiers there and I even explained how to get the free milk to someone in front of a cashier and she just shook her head yes that was how to do it. I still can't believe there was makeup left on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Look at Angel!! I love it!! Hope she had a happy birthday this week. I still need a tutoring session on how to do the makeup thing. The whole BOGO with a BOGO coupon blows my mind. I have tons of makeup coupons but I never use them because I'm so confused!! In fact, I'm so confused, I don't even know what my questions are. It's worse than you thought, huh? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteCheck out RiteAid this week for free covergirl mascara! Get (2) mascara off the shelf, Store register will take the price of one off (which makes it free), then hand over a B1G1 covergirl coupon & the cashier will deduct the price of the second mascara = both free!! add the mascara up to equal close to $15 and pick you out something that is $3 use the $3/$15 purchase and get it free!! Clear as mud right??
